Why I Choose Preservative-Free Skincare

If you’ve used my products before, you’ve probably noticed something — they don’t smell “synthetic,” they feel alive, and they work. One of the reasons may be that none of my products contain preservatives.

As a holistic medical aesthetician, I’ve worked with so many people who think they just have “sensitive skin.” But many times than not, it’s not the skin that’s sensitive — it’s the products that are overcomplicated. Preservatives, fillers, synthetic fragrance, harsh surfactants — the skin is constantly being asked to defend itself. Over time, it becomes reactive, dull, or inflamed.

When I started formulating, I made a promise to myself and to my clients: no preservatives, no shortcuts, and no ingredients that confuse the skin.

Why Preservative-Free Matters

Preservatives aren’t “bad” — they’re necessary for mass-produced skincare that’s meant to sit on shelves for a year or more. But that shelf life comes at a cost. Many preservatives disrupt your skin’s microbiome, the community of beneficial bacteria that keep it healthy and balanced.

Once that balance is off, the skin can’t regulate itself the same way. That’s when you start noticing dryness, breakouts, irritation, and premature aging — all signs that your barrier needs support, not more synthetic ingredients.

Preservative-free skincare allows your skin to rest, reset, and return to its natural rhythm.

Why I Formulate Exclusively With Oils

Every one of our serums are made entirely from pure oils and botanical extracts — no water, no emulsifiers, and no need for preservatives.

Oil-based (or anhydrous) products are naturally stable. They don’t grow bacteria or mold the way water-based formulas can, so there’s no need to add anything to “keep them safe.” Nature already did that for us.

But it’s more than just safety — it’s about synergy. Oils speak the same language as your skin. Your skin’s natural barrier is made of lipids, and when you feed it plant-based oils rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants, it recognizes them immediately. That’s why so many of my clients notice their skin softening, calming, and glowing again after switching to oil-based skincare.

It’s not about doing more — it’s about doing better with less.

Small Batch, Always Fresh

Because I handcraft everything in small batches, your product hasn’t been sitting in a warehouse or under fluorescent lights for months. It’s made, bottled, and sent out fresh.

I often tell my clients — your skincare should feel as alive as your skin. Just like fresh food nourishes your body better than something from a box, fresh skincare nourishes your skin in a way you can see and feel.

The Bottom Line

When you use our serums, you’re feeding your skin ingredients it actually understands — raw, natural, and active.

No preservatives. No fillers. No artificial stabilizers.

Just clean, powerful oils that support your skin’s rhythm, barrier, and natural healing process.
